My mum once told me that my nanny's dad (A florist and organist) used to hand make little bumble bee's to go on his bouquets. sadly the few that my nanny kept have been lost and damaged through the years.) But the idea of having them on my wedding bouquet was defiantly something I wanted!
As you know for months and months i have been knitting daffodils for this wedding bouquet, and having searched and searched for something that would resemble these bumble bee's of my great granddads and finding nothing at all! I decided to make what i had in mind myself.
So here they are!
little yellow pom poms with black thread and a smaller black pom pom make the body. The wings were harder. I used tiny bits of bendy wire stuff that i found up (id obviously kept them off of something thinking they would come in handy one day!) made them into a circle and used a mesh fabric for the wings, then curled the wire for the antenna, and of course googly eyes to finish.
The bouquet is actually nearly finished, so look out for my bee's when i post the final picture!

My prize!
For winning Katie's jar of love swap!
Getting the most items in my jar meant i received this jar and really sweet card from the lovely Katie @ booty-full things. The jar was filled with sweeties!!! yum yum thank you Katie, but even more brilliant as i have just had a new addition to my family which made the card with a little black cat on it just perfect! Katie did not know about her so what a coincidence!!
Her name is Barbara and she is 10 weeks old!

Wedding Bits
If you have seen one of my original posts, then you will have seen the start of my hand knitted daffodils that are going to be making up my wedding bouquet! I have scaled the same pattern down a few sizes and added some sparkly gems and a hair grip to make these!! These hair slides are going to be in my bridesmaids hair, which will tie in nicely with my bouquet and the pew ends in the church.

Jar of love swap
This is my jar from the brilliant suzzanebramble@blogspot.com. This was my first swap and I am chuffed to bits with it!!
Suzanne was so thoughtful with filling my jar and got me perfectly with what she put in,
as she could see from my page im getting married and love my daffodils so she themed my jar on hearts and love.
Everything was presented so brilliantly on lovely paper, even the ribbon was wrapped in the matching paper.
My absolute favourite items in my jar was the daffodil pin and bee happy broach. I love them to bits! and cant thank suzanne enough! Thankyou to katie as-well for hosting a brilliant swap.
My jar did not have a theme im afraid, it was a mixture of everything i could think of.
I put things in I thought suzanne would like such as gardening things and additions to her sewing box, I also put in a cross stitch pattern and some thread to get her started! The pattern was of a dog and cat bowl, as Suzanne has a cat and two doggys, with this in mind i also put in a cat rubber and cat earings and 2 dog treats, hope yours doggys enjoy them!
